Retail and Downtown Development

Course Description

A downtown strategic vision identifies development and redevelopment goals for a community’s downtown district and serves as a roadmap for revitalization efforts.  This course provides economic developers with the skills they need to ensure a healthy, vibrant downtown.  Participants will learn the fundamentals of navigating special districts, the Redevelopment Power Act, Urban Redevelopment Law, historic preservation tax credits as well as how to maximize federal, state, and local partnerships and incentives.
