**SOLD OUT** Visit SmartLab in Savannah
Participants will be visiting a state-of-the-art STEM learning environment called a SmartLab inside a Savannah private school. We will provide lunch and transportation to and from the Hyatt, and there is no registration fee for this activity.
During our two hours at Blessed Sacrament School, we will tour the SmartLab, observe a class in the SmartLab, and enjoy a panel discussion with the teacher and school administrators over lunch.
SmartLab Learning helps school districts transform an underutilized or new space in a school into a state-of-the-art STEM learning environment called a SmartLab. Our work is turn-key, working w/ architects and designers to outfit the lab with furniture, technology hardware, student-facing STEM kits, the curriculum, professional development, and ongoing support. The result is a balanced, sustainable STEM program that uses project-based-learning to build workplace skills in students K-12 for years to come.
Our partnerships typically involve collaboration with community business partners and non-profits, given the power of STEM exposure in K-12 schools to build the local workforce. Students are exposed to eight industry-aligned Areas of Exploration in their local SmartLab and will be better prepared to chart a course for their future in high-needs STEM careers as a result.
